Our Pillars
Flores Street Yoga is a homegrown studio dedicated to bringing quality and compassionate yoga on and off the mat. We do this through three pillars:
Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We found a studio space closer to home so we could teach and have yoga in our own neighborhood. A number of our teachers live nearby and we are ready to co-create this yoga experience with our neighbors.
Accessibility
We are financially, physically, and emotionally accessible. We are committed to keeping the cost of the studio low while still paying our teachers fairly. All of our teachers are well equipped and trained to adapt classes to the needs of every student; we are ready to introduce yoga to those who may still find it foreign.
Education
Education is important not only for the students that attend our classes but also for our staff. As current and former educators we value teaching not only the asana (yoga poses) but also the how (pranayama and dhyana) and why (yamas and niyamas).
Meet the Team
The Founders
The founders of Flores Street yoga are two 500-hour trained yoga teachers with a combined 10 years of experience teaching yoga.
-
Mia has been teaching yoga since 2019; she started by teaching outdoors in community parks in Raleigh, North Carolina. She moved to San Antonio shortly after and began teaching at studios around the city.
Trained in hatha, vinyasa, and yin, she loves teaching across the energy spectrum. After teaching over 1,000 classes, managing a yoga studio, and completing her 300HR YTT she felt ready to help create a new studio for the San Antonio community.

Hey everyone! I'm Lucas. My yoga journey began about 12 years ago here in San Antonio. Yoga has been a therapy for me; after a knee injury, I found myself in constant pain. Yoga has been the only way to alleviate this pain, which is now nonexistent! I obtained my 200HR YTT and Reiki Level 1 certificates from the Synergy Studio here in San Antonio. Recently, I completed my 300 HOUR Advanced Yoga training with Family Flow Yoga.
As a yoga instructor, my goal is to hold a safe space and most importantly, a safe practice.
Fun facts about me: I’m a San Antonio Native, am addicted to gardening, love to travel, and am also a barber.
